Rick Davis, James Brown, Carl Genberg, and Kirk Peacock initially joined together in a venture-backed startup that successfully executed against two distinct and innovative business models. Rick Davis: Leadership, Strategy, Product Marketing   (top)

Rick Davis has been building and leading winning software, service, communications, content, and hardware businesses including Apple, Claris, Ants.com and Kinko's, for twenty-two years. Demonstrating excellence in leadership, product marketing, technology, and results, Mr. Davis has recruited world class teams, co-authored pending patents, and deftly adapted business models to new market conditions. In a career full of firsts, Mr. Davis and his teams have raised millions in venture capital from first-tier VCs, and achieved category leadership with high-ROI technology and marketing execution. Mr. Davis's consulting clients include Adobe, Cisco, Kleiner Perkins, and Oracle. Nominated as Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year, Mr. Davis earned his MBA from Santa Clara University, and his B.S. from U.C. Davis.

James D. Brown: Technology and Product Development    (top)

James Brown has been developing strategic e-business products with technology companies in all phases of their business lifecycle for nine years. Strong cross discipline experience in development & technology management, operations, and strategic technology planning. He served as the Chief Technology Officer of Ants.com, a venture-backed software developer, delivering patent-pending technology to market on time and budget. Mr. Brown was Vice President of Strategic Planning and a founding member of Clear Ink, a pioneering Internet development firm and one of the fastest growing privately held companies in the San Francisco Bay Area for three consecutive years. Mr. Brown managed and engineered dozens of e-business initiatives for blue-chip companies like Ascend Communications, Pacific Bell, Cisco Systems and Sun Microsystems. He has designed and implemented integrated systems for innovative, high-volume transaction sites, which depended on available and secure services for companies like E*Trade, Chicago Board of Trade, AgEx.com and Harcourt Brace. Mr. Brown earned his B.A from UC Santa Barbara and an A.A. from Santa Barbara City College.

Carl Genberg: Strategic and Business Development   (top)

Carl Genberg is a seasoned, entrepreneurial executive with proven high-growth track record in four startups as well as CFO for a division of AOL and Managing Director, Western Region for Kroll Associates (Nasdaq: "KROL").  He is a strategic and business development executive having completed dozens of domestic and international licensing, distribution, joint ventures and strategic alliance transactions to drive all forms of growth with companies such as Village Roadshow, The Rank Organisation, Activision, Simon Property Group and others.  Mr. Genberg is also a finance and corporate development professional with experience in mergers, acquisitions, private placements, project financing, IPO preparation and Investor Relations.  He has built and exited companies to both AOL and Microsoft.  Mr. Genberg has industry experience in consumer and B2B Internet services, enterprise software, entertainment, business services, video games and retail. Mr. Genberg has strong functional management skills in corporate and business development, strategic planning, finance, accounting, legal, human resources, marketing, and product development. Other past positions have included the CFO and VP positions in business, strategic and corporate development in four startups, and a management consultant with Arthur D. Little and Theodore Barry & Associates. Mr. Genberg earned a B.A. in Economics with honors from Claremont McKenna College.

Kirk Peacock: Finance, M&A, and Systems   (top)

Kirk Peacock is a proven high technology, finance and operations professional with eleven years of experience. Mr. Peacock served as the Chief Financial Officer of a venture-backed software developer, bringing strategic, financial and operational insights to the organization. Mr. Peacock served as Director of Accounting at Global Crossing and was primarily responsible for all of the company's SEC filings including registration statements and periodic filings. Mr. Peacock was instrumental in the company's secondary equity offering, the IPO of Asia Global Crossing, a joint venture between Global Crossing, Microsoft and Softbank, and the sale of GlobalCenter to Exodus. During Mr. Peacock's tenure, Global Crossing grew from 150 to more than 14,000 employees. Prior to Global Crossing, Mr. Peacock was a Controller for a public $160 MM Promotions Company, where he was instrumental in the company's SAP implementation. Mr. Peacock spent seven years at Arthur Andersen, providing accounting and financial services to numerous high tech companies, and was a member of Andersen's High Technology team. Mr. Peacock earned a B.A. in Economics with an emphasis in accounting from Claremont McKenna College and is a Certified Public Accountant.
